From November 6th to 8th, the 11th China Risk Management and Actuarial Forum was held at Xiamen University. In the undergraduate insurance product design competition held at the forum, students from the School of Statistics of our school won the second and third prizes.

  This forum was all conducted by students participating in the defense online. The forum organizing committee received nearly 60 entries from participating students. After preliminary review by academics and industry experts, 31 undergraduate teams were selected to participate in the forum. A total of 6 teams of undergraduates in our school were selected for the defense session. After review, a total of 10 groups of undergraduate teams won the competition, including 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, and 6 third prizes.

  The 11th China Risk Management and Actuarial Forum is hosted by Xiamen University School of Economics, Xiamen University Wang Yanan Institute of Economics and Fujian Insurance Master's Joint Training Demonstration Base, and is co-organized by the Chinese Association of Actuaries and the North American Association of Property Insurance Actuaries (CAS). The forum invited experts and professors from the Chinese Association of Actuaries, CAS Property and Casualty Actuarial Association, Central University of Finance and Economics, Huaan Property and Casualty Insurance, Southwest University, and other academic and industry experts to give keynote speeches in the field of risk management and insurance actuarial.

  The School of Statistics has always attached great importance to encouraging teachers' scientific research and students' scientific innovation. By participating in this forum, it has strengthened the academic exchanges and cooperation between the college's teachers and scholars and experts in the field of actuarial science at home and abroad. The undergraduates majoring in actuarial science of our school participated in the competition for the first time and won the second and third prizes, which reflected the results of the cultivation of innovative talents. It demonstrates the spirit of the student team and further enhances the popularity and reputation of the School of Statistics in universities, insurance circles and the industry.
