The Third Summer Camp for Outstanding Undergraduates of the Statistical Institute officially opened

​On July 15, 2019,   the advanced statistics course of Jiangxi University of Finance and   Economics, a summer camp for Outstanding Undergraduates in China, was   officially opened.The summer camp aims to make use of our excellent teaching   staff to help students to have an in-depth understanding of statistics, econometrics   and their cutting-edge applications in economics, finance and other   disciplines, so as to improve the quality of graduate students in the school   of statistics .Since march this year, more than 100 students have signed up   for this summer course. After several rounds of selection and strict   selection by the college, more than 70 students from 32 universities across   the country have been confirmed to attend this summer course.

On the morning of July 15, Shihua Luo, Dean of the Institute of Statistics, expressed warm welcome to all the students before the opening of the course. He introduced   the excellent teachers in this summer class and the development of the   Statistics Institute in recent years, which stimulated the students' infinite yearning for the Statistical School of Jiangxi University of Finance and   Economics. This summer camp lasts for five days. On the first day, Professor   Junwen Cao of the Statistical Institute gave a lecture. Professor Cao   introduced the prospects of the major of economic statistics and related   teaching and scientific research hotspots, as well as some matters needing   attention in applying for the postgraduate of applied statistics.

Summer camp teaching content can not only broaden students' horizons, but also let them know more about the Institute of Statistics. We also look forward to the  smooth development of summer camp in the Institute of Statistics, bringing more excitement.
