On the morning of January 3, at the invitation of the School of Statistics, Professor Tatsuro Ito of Anhui University and Professor Jack Koolen of the University of Science and Technology of China presented lectures in the 315 conference room of the School of Statistics. The lecture was hosted by Professor Luo Shihua, Dean of the School of Statistics. Some teachers and graduate students of the School of Statistics listened to the lecture.

Professor Jack Koolen introduced us to the definition of the distance rule graph. In order to help everyone here to better understand this definition, he explained to us from three aspects: Hamming graphs, Johnson graphs, and Distance-transitive graphs. It focuses on related examples in Distance-transitive graphs, so that the audience understands the classic objects from which the distance-transitive graph comes. Secondly, he explained some open questions, such as whether to classify large distance rule graphs, classify large-diameter Q polynomial DRGs, etc. According to the analysis and research of related theories, he finally gave his own opinions .
At the end of the lecture, the students raised their questions to the two professors, and the professors answered their questions one by one based on their rich knowledge. Jack Koolen, Tatsuro Ito and Jin Wei also had a heated discussion on some issues, and they expressed their opinions. The students and teachers at the scene listened attentively, and the academic atmosphere was very strong. This lecture broadened
the scientific research horizons of teachers and students and benefited everyone a lot.
