On the morning of June 15, 2022, the School of Statistics and Faculty of Science, Mahasarakham University held the online signing ceremony. Secretary of the School of Statistics Tao Chunhai, vice Dean Liu Xiaohui and Guo Lu, and other teachers of the institute participated in this online signing ceremony.

To begin with, Secretary Tao Chunhai briefly introduced the characteristics of subjects, national and international running status of the School of Statistics . He pointed out that the School of Statistics attaches great importance to the educational exchanges and cooperation with Mahasarakham University. Thailand is one of the vital model countries of the Belt and Road Initiative in Southeast Asia, which has long enjoyed good-neighborliness and friendship with China and will have promising prospects for exchanges and cooperation in the field of education. The School of Statistics sincerely hopes to strengthen mutual visits and academic cooperation between teachers and students and enhance the level of cooperation by establishing deep cooperative relationship with the Faculty of Science, Mahasarakham University, so as to further enhance the friendship between the Chinese and Thai people and promote people-to-people exchanges.

Professor Pairot Pramual, Dean of Faculty of Science, Mahasarakham University, briefly introduced the basic situation of Mahasarakham University. He noted that China and Thailand have maintained close exchanges in education and other fields and deeply integrated cultures. In the hope of uniting the world  and cultivating more outstanding talents to deal with international challenges, this online signing ceremony is conducted during the pandemic period.

This online signing ceremony marks a new phrase in the cooperation between two institutes. In the future, the two sides will establish the platform for academic and cultural cooperation and exchange, and promote the integration and development of different academic cultures by making use of their respective teaching characteristics and advantages to draw on each other's strengths, which aims to cultivate more high-quality statistical talents by making unremitting efforts.
