On the morning of October 10, at the invitation of our college, Prof. Lin Hong, a professor of Guangdong University of Finance and Economics and alumnus of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) of the class of '79, gave an academic lecture on the topic of Logical National Economic Accounting and the Logic of National Economic Accounting in the 414 of the North Complex. The lecture was hosted by Dean Ping Wei-ying. The lecture was hosted by Dean Ping Wei-ying and attended by teachers and students of the School of Statistics and Data Science.

Prof. Lin gave a vivid and profound lecture, which had a strong academic atmosphere and included multidisciplinary exchanges in economics, finance and accounting. Before the lecture, Prof. Lin Hong expressed his gratitude to his alma mater and his love for academics, which conveyed his deep feelings for his alma mater and for academic research.

Then, in the lecture, Prof. Lin firstly triggered everyone's thinking with a problem-oriented approach, i.e., the phenomenon of GDP being in the red while other indicators are in the green, and then further put forward the problem of figurative and abstract problems, and tried to analyze the national economic accounting and its core indicator GDP by using the method of discursive logic, in order to bring in a kind of new thinking, so as to push forward the innovation and revolution of the national economic accounting.

Secondly, Prof. Lin discussed the attributes of national economic accounting, pointed out the blind adherence to SNA and statistical indicators in the industry and academia, and elaborated his critical insights from the three aspects of structural logic, data logic, and indicator methodology logic, and revealed that the current understanding and research of national economic accounting still belongs to the level of common sense.

Finally, Prof. Lin guided everyone to think further through additional questions and emphasized to each student in the audience that they must have their own reverse thinking, underlying logic and innovative design for national economic accounting.

At the end of the lecture, Prof. Luo Liangqing further deeply summarized the teaching and research work of national economic accounting in the country from the perspectives of reality, history and national layout, and exhorted everyone that we should have a perspective like an eagle, but also pick the details and feel the grain like a little worm.
