From December 26 to 30, 2023, Professor Liu Xiaohui, Director of the Key Laboratory of Financial Data Science, Professor Zhang Hua and Dr. Liu Yuzi from the School of Statistics and Data Science of JFU went to Chonnam National University in South Korea to participate in an international academic conference.

From December 26 to 28, two universities co-organized the 2nd Chonnam National University-Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics International Joint Conference. Prof. Liu Xiaohui made a presentation entitled Fast computation of Tukey trimmed regions and median in dimension p > 2, and Prof. Zhang Hua introduced the statistical disciplines and the Key Laboratory of Finance and Economics Data Science of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and made a presentation entitled Pricing European Options under Double Skew Brownian Motion, and Dr. Yuzi Liu presented the paper Functional additive expectile regression in the reproducing kernel Hilbert space. In addition, a number of Korean scholars gave presentations covering a wide range of fields such as digital agriculture and applied statistics. During the conference, the delegation also had friendly exchanges with Prof. In Hong Chang of the Department of Computational Science and Statistics of Chosun University, who was a participant, and negotiated the signing of relevant cooperation agreements.

On the morning of December 29, Liu Xiaohui and his team visited our students studying in Korea, Chen Xie, Hu Fen, Liu Qingya, Huang Shuang and Liu Zhuo Lin, who reported the results of their study in the past six months. Attending the debriefing were the dean and vice dean of the Artificial Intelligence College of Chonnam National University, Prof. Kyeong-Hwan Lee of the College of Agriculture and professors of the College of Natural Sciences of Chonnam National University. In the afternoon, the delegation had an in-depth exchange with the dean and vice dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence of Chonnam National University, Korea, and discussed the possible direction of future cooperation between the two universities and the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
